The latter specifies requirements for clothing worn during activities where the operator is exposed to <strong>radiant heat, convective heat, contact with flames and molten metal splashes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is therefore essential to know  inside the garment, and the various markings, as they contain all the necessary information on the levels of protection provided.<\/p>\n<h2>Workwear according to EN ISO 11612:2015<\/h2>\n<p>ISO 11612:2015 provides different test methods for the materials that make up the garment. Each of the tests corresponds to a letter from A to F and the level of resistance is indicated with a specific scale, different for each test.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8001 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.covalsafety.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/11612.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"744\" height=\"213\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.covalsafety.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/11612.png 744w, https:\/\/www.covalsafety.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/11612-300x86.png 300w, https:\/\/www.covalsafety.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/11612-350x100.png 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 744px) 100vw, 744px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A.Limited flame spread test<br \/>\nB.Convective heat resistance test<br \/>\nC.Radiant heat resistance test<br \/>\nD.Test for molten aluminium<br \/>\nE.Test for molten iron<br \/>\nF.Contact heat resistance test<\/p>\n<p><strong>NB: With the exception of hoods certified to EN ISO 11612, head, hand and similar protection products are not included in this standard.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Requirements for clothing EN ISO 11612:2015<\/h2>\n<p>To be recognised according to EN ISO 11612, workwear must have <strong>minimum performance levels on the first index A and on at least one of the other specified indices<\/strong> (B to F).
