How to choose the right glove: 5, 3 or 2 fingers?

Why choose a 5-finger anti-heat glove rather than a mitten (2 fingers) or a 3-finger glove?
In this article you will find some important information for choosing the right PPE!
The 5-finger glove, of course, provides greater freedom of movement and dexterity than other packaged 2-finger or 3-finger models. However, they are less convenient to slip off in an emergency. They are used mainly in industries such as foundry or glassworks, where precision is critical.

F2TK15 1The advantages of anti-heat mitten

On the other hand, the 2-finger mitten, ideal for those working in Ho.Re.Ca, allows air to act as an insulator: the same model produced with 5 fingers or 2 fingers can therefore have a slight difference in terms of thermal insulation, that is, it delays the perception of heat more.
In addition, the mitten is more suitable when there is a need to slip the PPE on and off easily, during normal work activity or in an emergency.
Our models include, in the former case, the glove and, in the latter case, the mitten, both of which are resistant to 350°C contact heat.

3-finger glove: the right compromise between dexterity and thermal insulation

The 3-finger, on the other hand, is a good compromise between the 5-finger glove and the mitten: it has good thermal insulation and also allows movement of the index finger and thus ease of grip. In fact, we recommend a 3-finger glove for food service applications, when there is a need to handle pans or grills, for example, as it offers a firmer grip on hot objects. For this type of application, the oven glove can be an excellent choice!
